More than just markets, we are a movement—dedicated to helping small businesses connect, grow, and thrive.

SATX Market Events is curated and owned by Brook and David Richie, the founders of Bee's Wellness Café, San Antonio's renowned wellness hub. Brook, a passionate entrepreneur, owns Bee's Wellness Café, a woman-owned business with numerous accolades, including Best CBD Shop, Best Dispensary, and Best Juice Shop. David is the visionary behind the Breathe for Wellness Functional Breathing Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to improving lives through functional breathing techniques. In addition to his work with Breathe for Wellness, David is also a published author.

Together, with a deep understanding of vendor markets and small business growth, Brook and David have built SATX Market Events as a space where entrepreneurs, artisans, bakers, and creatives can showcase their work and connect with customers in a meaningful way.

Brook and David started as vendors, tirelessly marketing Bee's Wellness Café at every local market that would have them. In 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 lockdown, the market manager of the Live Oak Market fell ill and asked David to step in. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the market restarted with just five vendors. Thanks to the support of the Mayor of Live Oak and a dedicated group of vendors, the market rapidly grew to over 40 vendors every Sunday.

When an upcoming construction project forced the market to relocate, Brook and David found a new home at Shavano Park, where the market has flourished for over four years.

For years, David drove past the stunning Just Pots property, each time imagining a vibrant market bustling with vendors and shoppers. The vision became reality in September 2024, when Brook and David reached out to the property owners and were met with enthusiastic support. Thus, The Market at Just Pots was born, offering vendors a one-of-a-kind destination market surrounded by over 40,000 pottery pieces.

At SATX Market Events, we know firsthand that face-to-face connections are the key to success. Markets like ours propelled Bee's Wellness Café into the spotlight, allowing us to build relationships with customers and establish a loyal following.

Now, we are paying it forward. Our mission is to cultivate and curate a market where small businesses, makers, farmers, and creatives can showcase their work, build brand awareness, and take their business to the next level. There is nothing more powerful than face-to-face interactions with potential customers, and we are here to make that possible.
